The Revue forestière française was first published in 1949. It has a reading committee, and is published in French. It is one of the main journals mainly dedicated to the temperate forest and related subjects – natural environments, wood, fauna and flora. It disseminates scientific and technical information, and establishes an effective link between research and practices, administration and management, progress and dissemination of knowledge.

It is published by AgroParisTech in paper version (ISSN 0035-2829) and in electronic version (ISSN 1951-6827).

The articles published between 1949 and 2014 (except a few articles whose illustrations are under copyright) can be freely accessed on HAL website.

The articles published from 2015 onwards can be viewed on that website.
